Nuts for Mutts – the Nuts for Mutts June 26 at the Agoura Hills / Calabasas  Community Center combines two great events into one great fun-filled family fundraiser!  Come for the Dog Show or stay for both, either way enjoy your day.

The day begins at 8:00 am with the Walk — a brief, invigorating walk-a-thon through the crystal clear rolling hills of Calabasas.  Check in begins at 7:15 am.  Free registration to sign up your walk sponsors today.  The Dog Show starts at 9am and continues through the day until the star-studded final rounds.

This year, hundreds of mutts are expected to strut their stuff before a panel of celebrity judges in thirty categories including “Most Handsome,” “Fox 11 Fastest Mutt,” “Most Ear-resistible Ears,” “Mystery Mutt” and “Best Kisser” leading up to the coveted “Best in Show.”

Actress-comedienne Debra Wilson (MADtv) returns to co-emcee the event along with Christian Le Blanc (The Young & the Restless). Great prizes include Dyson Animal vacuum cleaners that are engineered for powerful pet  hair removal, a year’s supply of dog food from Natural Balance and more

But you don’t have to take part in the walk – or own a dog, for that matter – to attend and enjoy this rollicking event.  The Nuts for Mutts Festival will feature the Dog Show, a super pet adoptioncelebrity guests and judges, kids crafts and activitiesdelicious foodBeer Gardenover 60 vendorsa silent auctiongreat live music and more!

Silent Auction items includeone night stay at the Redbury Hotel in Hollywood, two trips to Africa with the Zulu Nyala Group, pet portraitsgolf,theatre ticketswine tastings and more.

All day live music will feature singer/songwriter Amanda Clark, the Blues Gypsies, the Sting-inspired Ghost in the Machine and Beatles-inspired Beatunes.

Nuts for Mutts – the Walk & Dog Show benefits New Leash on Life, founded in 1997, has been responsible for the spaying and neutering of thousands of pets and the rescuing and placement of over 3,000 dogs.
